Taylor walked in the park. One of her hands lightly held the tangerine lead rope of a thousand pond Palomino beast by teh name of Swift.THe golden Palomino held her head close to teh back of Taylor her sugary forelock in her eyes. Taylor looked back to teh mare and laughed. She found a nice grassy spot and sat down. She reached her hand up to pat Swift. the mare moved to the end of her leadrope and started to graze. Taylor lay back and looked to the fluffy clouds floating around like the most carefree thing in the world. There was hardly a cloudy day like this back in her homeland. it rained quite abit, but on the plus side they had lovely lush greed grass. He favorite thing back home was to go to loch Ness and wait to see if she could see the mythical creature. SHe closed her eyes and not meaning to, fell asleep still clutching the lead of the mare.

Dakota was ambling through the park on the lovely day nature presented to her. She sat atop of Bird, bareback, his varying grey dappled coat glistening with a sheer sheet of sweat, which was transferring to the pilates toned limbs of Dakota. The english braided reins were held loosely in her hands, whereas a few months before would be in her tight, firm but forgiving grasp. He had been a pretty wild young stallion, his heart on the track and his mind in the sky. Polar opposite of Dakota, who focused on what was infront of her, who was always grounded and organized. They pretty much changed together, their bond becoming perilous, unbreakable. Over a series of dramatic changes, like gelding, shoeing with new light weight carbon fiber shoes and getting shaved, he worked out all of his energy he had kept bottled up for the past 3 years he's been off the track.
Dakota was beginning to exercise him now some more, his muscles rippling like water under her; sinew on sinew, heart to heart it seemed as she lightly squeezed his sides, asking hims for a smooth canter in what seemed to be the lightest tap she could manage. Rounding a corner of the park she saw the palomino standing at the other end, between an area of fir trees, and a baseball field. She slowed him down, his ears quite at attention as she sighed, slowing him to a walk then, smiling as she made her way over to the palomino. She saw the girl on the ground and cleared her throat, still atop of Bird, sweaty and tired. She blinked down at the girl, waiting for her to respond or something. Bird nudged the palomino mare gently, sniffing her, then stepping back a few steps as if she angered him or something, but hesitantly moved forward, ears pinned back, head down as Dakota gave him a swift slap on the rump to warn him not to do that.

Taylor Woke at he nickering of her mare.Swift at first had nickered friendly but then not knowing the other horse she flantened her ears and pawed at the ground. She went to lunge toward the other horse but a sharp yank held her back. She looked back to Talyor who was holding the rope keeping her from the other horse. " I am sorry...She don't take kindly to strangers, once she knows you you'll be ok....I am Taylor" Tayloe said, her scottish accent rolling of her tounge. SHe smiled and looked to the other person and her horse. "your horse.. he is English is he not?" She looekd back to her own horse. She raised her western.
Her stocky build showed she was a quarter horse. She had the nice upside down 'v' A quarter horse is to have in the fron and she was deep in the chest and girth. Her back was shorter than her abdomen and her shoulder was at a nice 45 degree angle. Her runp was slightly steeper than regular, but that was allowed for her as a reiner. her back veiw was nice too.
Taylor looked back to the girl waiting for an answer.

Dakota smiled, her hands moving up and down Birds neck, small grey hairs dislodging from his skin and coming out onto her legs, uncovered and exposed except for her short shorts. She studied the girl quietly for a moment, dislodging herself from conversation while taking her in; scottish accent, western horse, sleeping in the grass? She straightened up even more, clearing her throat from the cold she had a couple days before. It had been the first day she was able to get out of the house and be involved with something and she went straight to the barn to be greeted by her 3 horses.
Bird was having a hard time grasping the concept he could not reproduce anymore, and that he was a little fatter than he was when racing. When Dakota moved her leg to stretch, his ribs glided along her calves and he made an attempt to sniff at the palominos butt. She gently smacked his shoulder, giving him a gruff 'hmmmmpf' before looking back to the girl, whose name was Taylor.
[I'm Dakota. This is Bird, and he used to race. Your horse, is obviously western. Whats her name?]
She asked in an inquisitive manner, her eyes lining the length of the quarter horse, then to Bird, who stood a good 16.2hh, towering over the quarter horse. She raised her eyebrows when looking down at Birds leg and at the small horsefly bites that stained his white socks a rose-like pink. She made a clicking noise with her tounge in dissapproval and continued to pat her mellow boy.

"nice to meet you. This here is my horse Swift. She is a reiner. SHe was trained by Jason Grimme and he took her to nationals one year when I was too young to ride her myself in that division." Taylor said looking back to swift who had pricked her ears up curiously at the other horse. SHe nickered and tried to nip at him but Taylot yanked on the rope. "would you quit being rude? If you don't Ill stick some haggis in your feed as punishment...even though I doubt I would waste my favorite scottish dish on you" Taylor said to the palomino mare.

Dakota smiled sincerely, like she hasn't been able to stop since tylers return. She raised her brows to the information Taylor was providing her on the horse, the trainer, whom she had no idea who he was, and the fact that the horse was well bred. Bird on the other hand, was not paying quite so much attention to the conversation and had taken to make another step back, but stopped short as Dakota squeezed his sides between her calves again.
[Bird, quit it. You've dealt with mares before. Quit being such a baby.]
She scolded, seemingly at the same time Taylor was scolding Swift for trying to nip Bird. She turned discreetly to look over her left shoulder to the field in the distance. Her legs were getting sore, Bird was getting restless, and she needed to ride, and it would be nice to go and show Taylor around the park and whatnot. She hadn't rode with a friend in ages, seeing as V left, and Tyler can't ride; ruling out the majority of people in the town that did ride regularly.
[Want to go out onto the trails behind the park? Their pretty neat and Bird is dying for a good run.]
